Twenty five (25) years + of experience in designing and field commissioning of Control and Power Systems for a wide variety of projects primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The near term ten (10) years have been focused on the design and commissioning of modularized equipment packages for gas turbine, steam turbine, electric motor and reciprocating engine applications for power generation and natural gas compression applications.

The most current five (5) years have been focused on the design and commissioning of control systems for simple cycle and combined cycle power plants in the 25 Megawatt to 102 Megawatt size.

Power generation equipment experience has involved 2 and 4 pole machines with brushless excitation systems utilizing both analog and digital voltage regulators.

The Control system experience involved Analog and Digital control systems for Automatic Starting, On Line Protection, Vibration Monitoring, Prime Mover Governor Load/Speed control, Generator Synchronizing and Generator Power Factor control.

1. The ability to function and perform in both the engineering design and the field commissioning activities of a project.

2. The design and field commissioning experience has been acquired on projects in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Dubai (UAE), Egypt, Africa and Indonesia and has exposed me to a wide variety of assignments and working conditions world-wide.

3. I have been involved with Dresser-Rand In the past 5 years providing on site commissioning engineering services for their Steam Turbine Generator installations ranging from 25 MW to 102 MW.

4. Design and commissioning activities involved equipment voltage levels ranging from 480 V through 13.8 KV.

5. Experienced in installing, testing and commissioning Generator Power System Protection Systems using the Schweitzer SEL-300G, G.E. Multi-Lin 489 and Basler protective relays for the generator packages.

6. Experienced in installing, testing and commissioning machine governor, vibration monitoring, protection and synchronizing systems using Woodward 505, 505E, DSLC products, Bently Nevada 3300 and 3500 products,

Basler DECS-200 and DECS-200N voltage regulators and their line of Sync Checking, Auto-Synchronizer and other related equipment and devices.

1. Commissioned in the US Army Ordnance Corp via ROTC upon graduation from Florida State Univ. in 1969.

2. Completed the "Guided Missile Maintenance Officer Course" at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama in 1970.

3. Assigned to a Direct Support Ordnance Detachment forming as a new unit. Completed training with this unit and deployed to Germany with this unit in 1970.

4. Levied to Vietnam in August 1971 as a Captain and served as a Battalion Operations Officer in an Ordnance Bn until honorably discharged in 1972.

1. Employed by the El Paso Natural Gas Company from 1977 after completing graduate school. Began work as an entry level engineer and ended my employment in 1996 (due to corporate down-sizing) as a Consultant level electrical engineer in 1996.

2. I formed my Consulting Engineering Practice "Custom Controls Engineering" in 1996 and have been successful in this endeavor since that time.

1. I am 61 years old, in good health with no physical limitations involving work, locations or travel.

2. I have been happily married for 29 years. My wife and I have two daughters age 26 and 24.

3 My wife and I maintain our home in El Paso, Texas and have lived there since marriage in 1979 with the exception of a few corporate moves to California and Arizona in the 80's.
