Rotating Services, in coordination with Mobius Institute, is offering a 5 day 'hands on' ISO Category 1 Vibration Analysis and Alignment Training. Additional Sponsors include EasyLaser and Commtest. The training will be conducted by qualified, experienced, and fully trained personnel equipped with the proper material and equipment to provide certification for each attendee. Fill in the form below and we will contact you with more information.
This training will show the student how to identify the
detrimental consequences of poor alignment on rotating machinery
- assist
in detecting misalignment on running rotating machinery (i.e. vibration,
IR methods)
- the use and care of measuring tools and instruments (feeler
gauges, dial indicators, optical encoders, laser/detector system,
proximity probes, ect.)
- finding and correcting excessive run out
conditions
- finding and correcting 'soft foot' problems
- finding and
correcting excessive piping strain
- foundation and base plate design,
installation, and care
- concrete and grouting installation
- alignment
tolerances
- rigid and flexible coupling design, installation, and care
- how to perform the Reverse Indicator method
- basic mathematical or
graphical/modeling principles for re-alignment
- how to determine
effective alignment corrections using the Reverse Indicator technique
-
keeping records of alignment work
You will come away from this course with a very good understanding of the
fundamentals; you will understand how to take good measurements (and
understand the importance of repeatability); and you will be ready to begin
analyzing vibration spectra.
